Engineering Manager-Outsystems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 12+ years of software development experience with .Net
• 5+ years of proven experience as Technical Lead or similar role in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Outsystems is a must including dealing with Outsystems echo system like AI Mentor and Lifetime
• Outsystems certifications are a plus.
• Proven track record of developing and delivering scalable, distributed, secure, and high-performance solutions using .Net technology
• Proven track record of leading large technical teams of diverse functions like backend, front end, quality, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices like CI/CD, and DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, Jenkins
• Experience in transforming customer requirements into a technical design document
• Familiarity with different architectural concepts like SOA, Micro Services, DDD, Messaging, Caching, etc.
• Experience with cloud services like Azure, AWS, or Google cloud
• Experience using relational DB such as SQL Server or MySql as well as No SQL DB such as MongoDB or Azure Cosmos DB
• Knowledge and experience around mobile technologies is a plus
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience identifying operational issues, monitoring and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems (e.g. performance, security, reliability, scalability, etc.)
• Flexibility to work remotely or onsite with customers inside and outside Egypt

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of one or more engagement(s) from technical perspective in collaboration with project managers
• Define the solution architecture and detailed design in collaboration with architects and development team
• Apply Agile and DevOps practices within the team
• Communicate with the customer to understand their business needs and translate them into a technical solution
• Deliver high quality solutions with attention to performance, scalability, high availability, resilience, etc.
• Participate in project planning and estimation
• Conduct code, design and architectural reviews
• Contribute to presales activities by engaging in early discussions with customers, building POCs, estimating effort, and reviewing proposals
• Execute architectural design spikes
• Develop and grow talent engineers through coaching, mentoring, and leading by example
• Promote the creation of reusable components (modules, templates, and UI patterns) to accelerate development
• Understand the nuances of mobile development, including offline capabilities and responsive design
• Plan deployment strategies, and rollback procedures
• Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with UX/UI designers, business analysts, and quality engineers to ensure holistic project success
