The purpose is to establish a Role Model Medical Operations in Africa. It is intended to centralize the main medical trending imperatives under one umbrella to promote and accelerate the:
Medical Transformation Imperative.
Data Generation and Real-World Evidence & Dissemination.
Medical Governance, Excellence and Operations.
The position will be acting as Innovation Lab to implement and test new solutions, working models…etc in different therapy areas and fields to provide the medical function a continuous dynamism to anticipate the external changes operating in the health care sector.
It will also offer an opportunity to create a novel structure under medical department, characterized by reshaped governance, RWE and transformation and new opportunities for people to grow and develop their potential.
As main imperatives, the Head of Innovation Hub must ensure resources are appropriately appointed and distributed to achieve the following objectives:
Main responsibilities:
Maximize Data Generation and RWE
Ensure the business continuity for current data generation and dissemination plan.
Explore novel ways to accelerate data generation (quicker timelines/cost effective).
Accelerate the adoption of RWE by external stakeholders (Partnership for health).
Develop new models of data generation potentially endorsed by Global/Region.
Accelerate the Medical Transformation:
Digital transformation.
Medical GTM and Omnichannel.
Explore the new working models and redefinition of medical roles and imperatives.
Anticipate the healthcare changing trends and set medium to long terms strategy.
Medical leadership team around future- looking vision, mission, and strategic initiatives.
Maintain Backbone highest standards of Medical Operation, Governance & Excellence:
Governance:
Implementation and maintenance of processes and solutions within Medical.
Optimize the harmonized usage of a Medical CRM system.
Lead the collection and align input from TAs on their needs, document the respective business processes and business rules, manage system change requests and lead User Acceptance Tests.
Periodic Risk assessment and audit preparation.
Act as Medical ambassador for business relationships with Finance, Contracts & Outsourcing, Compliance, legal and quality and others.
Excellence:
Support the Medical leadership team to drive alignment and coordination of goals, priorities, and efforts for Medical.
Lead processes for medical team goal setting and goal management throughout the year including identifying, raising/sharing, and implementing best practices, ensuring consistency in overarching processes and systems, and developing partnerships to ensure ongoing alignment, synergies, and efficiency.
Further strengthen and develop the medical team Internal Community.
Mentors and helps new team members get up to speed on projects/processes/systems, and ensures all team members have access to project information necessary to be successful.
Ensures all appropriate team member views have been raised and incorporated into team decisions as appropriate.
Operations:
Development of the integrated Medical Strategic and Operating Plan.
Provide budget and resource information to medical team to enable optimal portfolio management and alignment between priorities and resource allocation.
Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication of medical projects using negotiation, facilitation, meeting management and conflict resolution skills to enhance cross-functional team performance.
Ensures that all operational deliverables are achieved on or ahead of schedule, within budget target, and with quality that meets or exceeds the business needs.

About you
Key Qualifications and Competencies:
Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., BS, MS, PhD, PharmD, MD, DVM) or related degree desired.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management, including planning, budget planning and executing complex strategies.
Knowledge of project planning tools, budget structure and management.
Business qualification such as MBA, or Professional project management qualification such as PMP® or Agile Methodology would be considered as additional benefit.
Experience in drug development, medical affairs, or related field, including understanding of the current pharmaceutical environment.
Experience in product launch and launch excellence.
Experience in managing complex projects, demonstrating effective communication and leadership, ability to bridge successfully between different fields of expertise and managing program risks and challenges (including scenario and contingency planning).
Transversal communication and networking demonstrated. Managerial and interpersonal skills applied to matrix organization, effective international, cross-cultural collaboration skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally, agile, and strong team player, with global experience.
