The Project Manager an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee the implementation and management of Building Management Systems (BMS) and light current systems for mega construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects. Fluency in Chinese is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment on site for all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, Clients and visitors. Lead the achievement of company safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences
  • Develop and lead the project plan, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements
  • Developing trust and managing the relationship with customers and ensuring a shared understanding of key issues between all parties is maintained, maintain customer relationships at the appropriate project management level
  • Manage the contractual requirements of the project to ensure Honeywell’s risk exposure is minimized and controlled through timely responses and internal escalation. Make sure that contractual obligation are delivered on time.
  • Own the project schedule and ensure timely delivery in terms of cost, specifications, and client satisfaction.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Implement the company QA/QC procedures and ensure works meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Assess project progress, productivity, performance and implement action for improvement pre-emptively.
  • Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate work schedules, daily and weekly metrics and reporting data.
  • Prepare project reports including progress, performance, EVM, forecast, risks and mitigation plan.
  • Ensure the keeping of accurate and up-to-date daily records of site progress and key issues through site diaries.
  • Provide input on all VO’s and contractual claims ensuring that the construction-related substantiation in notifications and follow-up is clearly defined, accurate and demonstrable.
  • Follow up and track all Retention and Defects Liability Period punch-lists/snags to ensure close out of work packages and release of retention monies.
  • Direct the day to day operations of the project teams.
  • Define all subcontract /supply requirements and work with Supply Chain to ensure all subcontractor/supplier contracts and orders are appropriate for the project from a scope/cost and risk viewpoint. Lead or participate in negotiations as necessary

  • Maximizing the team’s ability to meet business goals and objectives by clarifying performance expectations; effectively delegating responsibility; providing support, feedback and coaching to achieve performance goals; evaluating and taking accountability for work group performance.
  • Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeping abreast of current developments and trends in area of expertise.
  • Being aware of conditions that affect employee safety.
  • Effectively meeting customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.

We Value:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a project manager for BMS, electrical, or low-voltage systems projects
  • 5-10 years total experience in project management and contraction MEP mega projects
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is a must.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Fluency in Chinese is an advantage.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and other relevant applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in safety and safety management on large commercial and infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated project experience involving the integration of multiple technologies preferably in technology systems for applications such as correctional facilities, building management technology, information technology or network solutions
  • Capacity to deliver against multiple and competing objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable customer relation skills
  • Proven commercial/contractual acumen
  • Excellent computer, written and oral communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment
  • The ability to work under pressure
