About This Role:

• To provide safe, and environmentally compliant, cost-effective, and high-quality preventive maintenance dispatch system support for all drills, auxiliary fleets, and shovel maintenance.

In This Role You Will:

Maintenance Dispatch

• Communicate daily plan and breakdowns to the maintenance team.
• Collect and document maintenance execution and condition monitoring data in jigsaw or dispatch system in a timely manner.
• Liaise with the planners to request components and parts for maintenance activities ahead of time.
• Review all daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans and schedules ahead of time based on the planning with supervisors and team.
• Identify additional tools necessary for the maintenance work and make recommendations accordingly.
• Track parts on the maintenance plan and daily part availability Monitor and report daily on all available condition monitoring system results and indicators to the supervisors for immediate remedy or solutions.
• Make required amendments or provide necessary corrections in the jigsaw date.
• Perform daily service scheduling of equipment service / fueling and inspection team.
• Provide, collect, and document maintenance data or equipment history of Drill & Shovel maintenance. This will also include Safety, Environmental, productivity, condition monitoring, PM-based backlog collection and monitoring systems as well as quality improvement monitoring.
• Provide input into and support with the design, planning, and coordination of shutdowns.

Reporting

• Prepare daily maintenance review report for all meetings.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance KPIs reports with explanation to variances.
• Create work notifications resulting from equipment defects as reported during the shift and add parts.

Work Scheduling and Allocation

• Accomplish work objectives by determining own work schedule, coordinate with support services and assign short-term tasks to other staff, as necessary.

Health, Safety and Environment

• Deliver own prescribed outcomes and / or provide support services, by applying Newmont’s Health, Safety and Environment systems, policies, and protocols.
• Inspect plant and equipment to check and identify any visible faults or issues.
• Attend all safety meetings.
  

Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist:

Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):

• A minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• MINCOM certification as Inspector Engineer

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of maintenance principles and industry standards.
• Knowledge of mine maintenance plant and equipment.
• Knowledge of the operation of the mine dispatch system. Problem-solving skills.
• Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), ERP/CMMS with accurate keyboarding and self-auditing skills
• Planning, organizing and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to interpret technical plant and equipment specifications.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mine maintenance in a large gold operation or similar heavy industrial site.

• The position is located in the Ahafo North site.
