About the role As Procurement and Maximo Specialist, you will be part of the Remote Services team located in the Cairo office, Egypt. You will join a team of highly skilled specialists that supports Cement Asset Management projects both online and on-site. One of your projects will be to provide remote support to a customer who operates and maintains a cement plant in Equatorial Guinea. Your responsibilities
  • Monitor and support the operation and maintenance of the Plant daily during normal working hours in the Country and be on stand-by 24/7 via mobile phone, Skype, MS Teams, and/or Viber or other digital platforms.
  • Support in preventive maintenance strategies to seek to increase the Plants availability and minimize maintenance costs
  • Support the supply chain and inventory management to optimize sourcing and inventory costs.
  • Support functionality of Maximo, including data migration and ongoing upload and data maintenance. Provide independent assessment and recommendation to the Operator on whether defective or worn-out parts and/or components should be repaired or replaced, considering economical, performance, warranty, and other relevant criteria. Such assessment shall include an analysis of the benefits of the recommended solution over the alternative solution.
  • Planning and monitoring of procurement of materials needed to maximize the Plant availability.
  • Maintain the existing CMMS MAXIMO in cooperation with the Operators Site team, including assisting the Operator in regularly maintaining and updating the inventory data.
  • Report on the spare part stock levels to ensure they are always maintained, critical spare parts are ordered on time, and they are always available.
  • Monitor, follow up, and support the execution of all purchase orders, including the timely delivery of spare parts and other required materials.
  • Secure using original-quality spare parts and consumables for Plant equipment, prolonging the plants lifetime.
  • Monitor the computerized management and maintenance system (Maximo) to ensure needed parts are available in time to minimize downtime and avoid unnecessary large inventory stocks.
  • Keep the inventory management system updated and aligned with the Service Providers standards.
  • Advise the Operator of the cost and advantages and disadvantages of repairing a part of the Plant compared to replacing the relevant part.
  • Advise the Operator on the implementation of an Inventory management methodology.
What you bring
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Cement Plant
  • Procurement and logistic experience
  • Proven experience in Maintenance Planning
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, and/or Maximo systems. Manage the Maintenance Strategy
  • Ability to understand issues through email, phone, and remote support chat and acknowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in rapidly changing environments.
  • Experience with the latest Windows operating system to manage the servers and client station.
  • Team player with collaborative skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
