This temporary position will be based in Cairo, Egypt.

Do you want to use your experience of producing and scripting text and video news content for a global audience?

Reuters is seeking an Output Producer to join the MENA video team in Cairo. In this new temporary position, youll work closely with colleagues based in the MENA region, producing breaking news content in both text and video format in both English and Arabic.

About the Role

As a trusted Output Producer at Reuters, you will:

• Work with the Chief Producer, North Africa to coordinate and elevate Reuters newsgathering and production teams, delivering edited and live content from across the region with speed and quality.

• Provide breaking news coverage that beats the competition and serves our audiences and clients with fast and accurate visuals.

• Take responsibility for the production and output of Reuters coverage, ensuring accuracy and impartiality in all we do

• Be a key part of the pitching process: suggesting memorable, deliverable stories and encouraging colleagues to do the same.

• Advocate for creativity and innovation in our storytelling, understanding the evolving needs of broadcast and digital audiences

• Work with text and photography colleagues in the newsroom to provide complementary, differentiated news coverage which delights, informs and engages our consumer and agency viewers and readers.

About You

Youre a fit for the role of Output Producer at Reuters if your background includes:

• Demonstrable experience of writing and scripting international stories in a news setting.

• Fluency in both English and Arabic.

• Prior experience of working in a TV news setting, with exposure to editing, writing and scripting content for a global news provider.

• A collaborative mindset with the desire to work closely with colleagues in different locations across the Middle East and North Africa region.

• The desire to work on breaking news projects at speed, to tight deadlines.
