Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Management and Supervision:

Supervise the staff within the housekeeping department (supervisors, cleaners, laundry, etc.).

Prepare work schedules and assign daily tasks.

Monitor team performance and provide necessary guidance and training.

Quality and Standards:

Ensure implementation of cleanliness, safety, and quality policies and standards.

Conduct periodic inspections of rooms and public facilities to ensure cleanliness and preparation.

Internal Coordination:

Coordinate with the front office to monitor room conditions and guest requests.

Communicate with the maintenance department to report any malfunctions or problems that need repair.

Supplies Management:

Monitor inventory of cleaning materials, linens, and other supplies.

Prepare purchase orders and ensure efficient use of resources.

Handle Guest Complaints:

Receive and address guest complaints related to cleanliness or room service.

Take corrective action and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Reporting and Follow-up:

Prepare periodic reports on performance, expenditures, and department status.

Submit improvement proposals to senior management.

Requirements:

Experience in the tourism industry is a must especially hotels.
