And thats where you come in. Cairo, Egypt (On-Site) Position Summary Participates in the Integrated Design Team and provides expert advice for the requirements definition verification and validation. Provides expert advice for the definition of the verification and validation methods of the technical requirements and for the definition of the test objectives for the testable requirements. Prepares the strategy for the project integration and testing. Coordinates the integration and testing in-plant and at project sites in accordance with the test plans and procedures. Prepares the test automation strategy. Responsibilities Management Skills:

• Directs the day-to-day activities of the ITV team for successful delivery of work packages.
• Plans, coordinates, and monitors the performance of the work, identifies and manages risks during all the Work Package
• lifecycle until the closure.
• Liaises with the Solution Engineering Manager and PMO for all aspects relating to the work package. Manages all work
• package activities (including those relating to risks and opportunities) to reach completion of the project. Establish priorities
• with SEM and PMO when unplanned work is being requested.
• Monitoring, tracking and reporting on workload results by continuous communication to incumbents and Manager.
• Directs and delegates specific tasks to staff, both in-house and in the field.
• Maintains Project Tracking by monitoring performance against budget and schedule, performance metrics collection and
• interpretation, weekly and monthly reporting.
• Performs early risk identification and mitigation through corrective actions.
• Supports resource management, including organizing and developing staff, task assignments, labor forecasts within the
• group, motivating, coaching and training, and maintenance of skill base.
• Provides for Project Planning and Re-planning, including the preparation of all artefacts required (estimates, schedules,
• estimates to complete, work breakdown structures and Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, traceability matrices) to
• deliver
• Responsible for managing and completing work/projects assigned to own area of responsibility.
• Provides support and estimates for the functional area for bids.
• Delivers the test and verification program within the cost and schedule targets.
• Works in conjunction with Manager to ensure all recommendations (such as training, tools, etc.) adhere to overall
• departmental budget. Conducts (Chairs: as required) meetings with other groups and/or customers on requirements or
• processes, ensuring product and work integrities are maintained

Technical Skills:

• Responsible for the implementation of a vigorous system integration and validation program. Responsible for maintaining
• adherence to company and departmental standard processes and policies.
• Reviews and approves all work assigned, identifying to staff errors and omissions in requirements, and compliance with
• company policies & procedures.
• Approves plans, procedures and reports produced by the ITV department.
• To ensure adequate knowledge of the system design for validation and verification purposes
• Keeps abreast of trends and current relevant technology. Evaluates new products and ideas for merit, (making suggestions to
• improve current in-house products(s), and processes).
• Propose and implement approved process improvements (such as increased test automation) to increase the effectiveness of
• the test process.
• Responsible for conducting the necessary gate reviews as per project plan.
• Ensures that the ITV team adheres to companys process

Safety:

• To ensure adequate coverage of the safety requirements in the test program
• To ensure adequate coverage of the safety requirements in the verification program.

Communication Skills:

• Well-developed verbal skills to interact effectively and professionally in a variety of forums.
• Well-developed writing skills to prepare effective reports, documents, etc. in a clear and concise format.
• The ability to present the departments position and effectively represent its interests.
• Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills needed to deal confidently, courteously, and correctly with both internal and external
• people at any level.
• Effective negotiating skills.

Soft Skills:

• Developing and maintaining a highly motivated team. Provide effective leadership.
• Promoting a harmonious working relationship among group members.
• Being a mentor to junior members of the department.
• Maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the job and in relations with others.

Aptitude:

• Presenting effective solutions to problems or inefficiencies in the departments operation.
• Making timely decisions, both independently and in concert with others, after a thorough evaluation of all relevant factors.

Key Requirements:

• B.A.Sc. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience leading a team
• Systems, validation and verification experience for real time and/or safety critical system.
• Organizational ability
• Strong communication skills. Must be fluent in English language.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• CBTC (Communication-Based Train Control) or domain knowledge in Rail Signaling
• Systems Engineering or equivalent
• IRSE certification
