Mechanical Engineer duties and responsibilities: A Mechanical & Maintenance Engineer ensures that all mechanical systems work safely and efficiently to meet user needs. Their duties include:
  • Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements.
  • Designing and developing prototypes.
  • Analysing and testing prototypes and each revision of a device.
  • Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects.
  • Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources.
Job Requirements:
  • BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven working experience in mechanical & Maintenance engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM).
  • Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other).
  • Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar).
  • Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc).
  • Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
  • Creativity and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Technical writing skills.
