Job Description: Remote Human Resources Manager
Position Overview
The Remote Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions for distributed teams, with a focus on effective management, engagement, and performance tracking of remote employees. This role includes responsibility for daily productivity monitoring, leave management, recruitment (with a special emphasis on hiring in Egypt), conflict resolution, and other core HR duties. The ideal candidate will be proactive, tech-savvy, fluent in English, and skilled at fostering a productive and positive remote work environment.
Working Hours
- This position requires strict adherence to specified working hours to ensure seamless collaboration and support across all remote teams.
- The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- Equivalent working hours in Egypt Standard Time (EET) are Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM.
- All team members, regardless of location, are expected to be fully available and engaged during these hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support remote teams, ensuring clear communication, task alignment, and adherence to company objectives.
- Design, implement, and maintain systems for tracking daily tasks, productivity, and work hours of remote staff using appropriate workforce management or time-tracking tools.
- Monitor schedule adherence and ensure remote employees are working their full scheduled hours, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee all aspects of remote leave management, including tracking future leave requests and same-day call-outs, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with current teams to identify talent needs, source, interview, and hire new employees, with a focus on expanding the team in Egypt.
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts, acting as a mediator and facilitator to ensure fair and timely resolution.
- Conduct regular employee engagement surveys and implement action plans to improve remote working conditions and team morale.
- Maintain confidential HR records and ensure data integrity and privacy at all times.
- Stay up-to-date on HR trends, tools, and best practices for remote workforce management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in HR, with at least 1 year managing remote or distributed teams.
- Demonstrated experience with remote workforce management and productivity tracking tools.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to design and implement effective tracking systems.
- Experience with recruitment and onboarding, preferably in international markets such as Egypt.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and mediation skills.
- High level of empathy, impartiality, and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fully remote environment.
- Fluency in English is required, as all teams operate in English.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience designing or implementing remote HR policies and procedures.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new HR software and tools.
- Knowledge of ClickUp or similar project management and productivity applications is preferred.
