Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Head of Digital Manufacturing for one of our partners, a global leader in the chemical industry field. Job Summary: The Head of Digital Manufacturing COE is responsible for spearheading the digital transformation journey in alignment with Industry 4.0 principles to deliver safety, reliability, and plant availability improvements across the Group. This pivotal role focuses on automating manufacturing processes and harnessing AI to optimize use cases. The core responsibilities include developing and executing digital improvement opportunities across company assets, enhancing data and processes in the Asset Management system, and implementing global digital manufacturing processes. This position is integral to the modernization of the companys manufacturing systems and processes, shaping the future direction and vision for IT leadership within global transformation projects. Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the implementation of the Digital Manufacturing Roadmap across the Group, driving transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and driving business growth.
  • Lead the transformation initiatives related to asset management, focusing on optimizing data management practices and facilitating seamless change management processes within the context of asset management and across relevant domains such as Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), reliability, and production.
  • Innovate and implement novel Manufacturing processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and standardization to streamline operations and maximize productivity.
  • Serve as the primary interface between IT and Manufacturing, orchestrating cross-functional collaboration on a spectrum of initiatives spanning ERP, Automation, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Analytics, and Industry 4.0.
  • Lead the charge in overseeing the Manufacturing facets of ERP implementation, encompassing aspects such as reliability, Manufacturing processes optimization, and plant maintenance, with a focus on ensuring alignment of KPIs and definitions throughout the organization.
  • Champion the implementation of transformative processes in tandem with IT and Manufacturing leadership, driving change management efforts, and ensuring seamless integration with overarching strategic objectives.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions meet the needs of the Manufacturing function, upholding stringent standards of quality, functionality, and overall integrity.
  • Act as a staunch advocate for the Manufacturing function as end-users of systems, processes, and solutions, articulating clear expectations and acceptance criteria to drive successful program outcomes.
  • Coordinate and optimize OpCo Manufacturing resources to synchronize with project timelines, providing robust support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial implementation to post-implementation support and maintenance.
  • Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing between Manufacturing and other departments, fostering a culture of innovation and synergy across the company.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage cutting-edge solutions to drive Manufacturing excellence and competitive advantage.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and performance excellence within the Digital Manufacturing COE, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science. Masters degree in computer science.
  • Proven Experience of 12-15 years with ERP on Asset Management side is highly essential.
  • 8+ years of experience in a senior position in Digital Manufacturing with leadership responsibility and direct reports preferably in a global matrix organization
  • Solid experience of 10+ year in managing Applications portfolio and Program Management preferably in Manufacturing business.
  • Understanding of best practice Manufacturing process and solutions.
  • SAP or MAXIMO certified or relevant demonstrable industry experience.
  • Experience working with a Robotic Process Automation, Plant Digitalization technologies in Fertilizer or Oil& Gas Industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language proficiency.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in articulating complex technical concepts to C-suite executives, demonstrating the ability to translate technical jargon into easily understandable updates. Additionally, adept at advocating for the ERP program and showcasing the enterprise benefits of strategic investments.
  • Demonstrates robust leadership capabilities, empowering teams to excel and maintaining momentum and pace even amidst challenges.
  • Exhibits a hands-on approach and possesses proven problem-solving skills, enabling effective resolution of challenges as they arise.
  • Skilled at prioritizing and executing tasks efficiently in demanding environments, ensuring optimal outcomes under pressure.
  • Possesses excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and information exchange.
  • Well-versed in SAP landscape and solutions, with a comprehensive understanding of its functionalities and applications.
  • Capable of presenting ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly manner, fostering alignment and understanding across diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive, consistently driving toward goals with dedication and enthusiasm.
  • Thrives in collaborative environments, leveraging teamwork and cooperation to achieve collective success.
  • Good knowledge in emerging technologies such as Cloud (SAAS, PAAS, IAAS), AI/ML, RPA, IOT, Robotics, Blockchain, and other emerging technologies, with a keen interest in leveraging them for organizational advancement.
  • Demonstrates exceptional collaboration skills, fostering effective partnerships both within and outside the department to achieve common objectives.
