VAS Front office Engineer

About this opportunity:

We are currently seeking an innovative and dedicated Vas Front Office Engineer to join our team at Ericsson. The role carries significant responsibility as you will be leading the coordination, support, and execution of 1st Level proactive and reactive maintenance activities. This is integral to ensure that services provided to our valued customers are consistently available and performing to the highest standards, in alignment with our Service Level Agreement (SLA). What you will do:

• Engage in 1st Level Service Monitoring and Event Management.
• Manage Service and Resource Alarm Handling.
• Contribute to Resource and Service Performance Monitoring.
• Respond to network alerts and escalate critical and degraded issues that impact network KPIs.
• Conduct initial checks and troubleshoot problems related to daily customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Follow up on all critical and major cases to ensure that they are resolved satisfactorily and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and upload HO reports during specific shifts, ensuring accurate documentation and communication of network status.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address network issues and improve overall performance.
• Work flexible shifts, including nights and public holidays such as Eid, ND, etc., to provide continuous network monitoring and support.

The skills you bring:

• 1-3 years of experience in Telecom or IT, with a strong understanding of network operations.
• Good knowledge of databases and Unix Shell scripting skills to support network monitoring and issue resolution.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java/Groovy, PHP, JavaScript, and Python.
• Solid Linux hardware knowledge and basic understanding of VAS network and Core network operations.
• Experience in 24/7 real-time monitoring and readiness to work flexible shifts, including public holidays.
• Ability to handle customer complaints effectively, ensuring satisfaction and problem resolution.
• Competency in performing initial checks and follow-ups for critical and major cases.
