Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Rackspace is building up its Professional Services Center of Excellence on Application Performance Monitoring Suites. You Will:

• • Work with customers and implement Observability solutions
  • Build and maintain scalable systems and robust automation that supports engineering goals.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools, alerts, and dashboards to provide visibility into system health and performance
  • Proactively gather and analyze both metric and log data from systems and applications to perform anomaly detection, performance tuning, capacity planning and fault isolation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and deploy new features and enhancements, ensuring they meet reliability, security and performance standards
  • Collaborate with team members to document and share solutions
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the customers business as well as their technical environment
  • Identifying performance bottlenecks, identifying anomalous system behavior, and resolving root cause of service issues

You need to have:

• • 3+ years of experience designing, building and maintaining AWS EKS, Azure AKS infrastructure with Terraform.
  • 3 years experience with Kafka working within large-scale environment with hundreds of terabytes, up to petabytes, of data ingested from 100s endpoints.
  • At least 3+ years of experience designing, building and maintaining Saas environments.
  • 3+ years as a SRE within a large team with solid experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog. ELK, etc
  • 3 years experience building and running Kubernetes clusters with deep expertise in scaling, operators, istig and troubleshooting.
  • 3 years experience with observability (monitoring - logging, tracing, metrics)
  • 3 years experience with GitOps CI/CD processes
  • 3 years experience scripting with Python, Go (Golang), bash and AWS CLI tools
  • 3 years experience with security operations - security policies, infrastructure, key management, setup of encryption at rest and transport
  • 3 years of experience with implementing and maintaining disaster recovery (DR) strategies. (MySQL, Zookeeper, etc.)
