Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and dynamic HR Manager to lead all aspects of Human Resources operations in Egypt. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing HR strategies and processes that support business growth, legal compliance, and employee well-being across the Egypt office.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in HR management within the fintech, payments, or technology sectors, and has a deep understanding of Egypt labor law, employee relations, and operational HR excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Administration
- Lead end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, contracts, attendance, leaves, performance tracking, and exit processes.
- Maintain accurate and legally compliant employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage local payroll inputs, coordinate with finance for salary processing, and oversee statutory filings.
- Handle visa processes, work permits, and employment documentation in coordination with legal and PRO.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for the Egypt office, from requisition to onboarding.
- Build a strong local talent pool aligned with business needs and potential localization/nationalization policies.
- Support confidential hiring for sensitive or senior-level roles within the region.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a point of contact for employees and management on HR matters, offering guidance and resolution support.
- Manage employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution in line with company policy and labor law.
- Drive employee engagement, retention initiatives, and culture-building activities.
4. Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Ensure compliance with Egypt labor law and all regulatory requirements related to employment.
- Develop and implement local HR policies and procedures that align with best practices and business requirements.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits related to HR practices and documentation.
5. Performance Management & Training
- Coordinate performance reviews, goal setting, and evaluation processes across departments.
- Identify training needs and facilitate L&D initiatives to support employee development and succession planning.
- Promote a performance-driven culture through effective feedback and development frameworks.
6. HR Reporting & Strategy Support
- Provide regular reports and HR metrics to senior management for decision-making.
- Support HR budgeting, workforce planning, and local HR projects including process improvements and system rollouts.
- Actively contribute to building a future-ready HR function aligned with regional growth and operational priorities.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are a plus.
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience in Egypt, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Industry experience in fintech, payments, digital banking, or technology-driven sectors is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Egypt labor law, payroll, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- High integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential matters.
Preferred Attributes
- Demonstrated success in setting up HR operations or scaling HR practices in a fast-growth environment.
- Hands-on experience with HR systems (HRIS) and digital collaboration tools.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach with a strong people-first mindset.
