Head of Design Department

• Lead and manage the engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to final commissioning. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
• Reviewing and approving system designs, ensuring they meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. He may also contribute to design work himself, especially in complex projects.
• Staying up to date with the latest solar technologies and evaluating their suitability for projects. This includes researching new equipment, assessing performance, and making recommendations
• Ensuring all designs and installations comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, local regulations).
• Leading the resolution of technical issues that may arise during design, construction, or operation.
• Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, project delivery, business development, and investment and assist them with engineering-related questions.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage competing priorities and overcome obstacles to successfully meet project milestones
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Candidate must have a Bachelor / Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering with relevant min 10-12 years of experience and thorough knowledge in engineering of solar plant.
• Expertise in Array yard layout; AC & DC cable sizing , string formation drawings, earthing & lightning protection installations;
• Various sizing calculations to prove sufficiency for adopted substation design: Instrument Transformer sizing, Short Circuit calculation, Earthing Calculation, HT & LT cable sizing calculation, battery & charger sizing, relay setting calculation etc.
• System Analysis & network study; Preparation of Main SLD (Single Line Diagram) including selection of primary equipment specifications
• Understanding of various studies and testing procedures for solar development
• Understanding Energy Storage Systems knowledge of battery management systems, and related technologies is increasingly important.
