What is this role?

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Accounting Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. We are also looking for someone to work closely with our financial management team.

What will you do?

• Manage and oversee the accounting department including:

• Month and end-year process closing along with consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
• Accounts payable/receivable
• General ledger
• Banks, Credit facilities and cash reconciliation
• treasury
• Intercompany Accounts Management
• Fixed Assets
• VAT, Income Tax and Payroll tax on regional level.

• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and IFRS..
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax returns.
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

• 7+ years of proven working experience including 2 years as chief accountant, Accounting Supervisor, Auditor or accounting manager..
• Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional accounting certification is a plus.
