Investment Manager

Main Responsibilities

Managing and directing the investment team, and assisting the managing director to ensure that the firm’s investment strategy is set and implemented

Strong knowledge and insight into market trends, economic conditions, and conduct market research to identify investment opportunities and risks. This can include researching themes and sector trends, comparable companies, market dynamics and drivers to derive insights

Manage the preparation of investment presentations, and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to keyholders.

Maintaining and updating all documents (legal documents, portfolio company updates, etc) and portfolio information to identify any shifts in risk exposure and take appropriate actions to manage risk levels within portfolio

Managing all stages of the investment cycle, from sourcing new deals to screening, performing due diligence, and reporting to evaluate risks associated with potential investments

Evaluate and review valuation models for investment opportunities, sensitivity analysis to address risks and scenarios to test IRRs and returns

Evaluate and review investment memos for new and existing opportunities to assess the attractiveness of potential investments

Contribute to creating all IMs from initial memos all the way up to follow-on memos to ensure rationale behind investment recommendations or actions taken

Preparing in-depth and robust models from scratch for each analyzed opportunity to ensure accurate predictions and insights for decision making

Coordinate with the finance and operations team regarding portfolio management and deal execution.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.

CFA designation and/or Master’s degree in a related field, or any equivalent qualification is a must.

8-10 years of experince in Investment banking or private advisory

Strong analytical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving

Basic proficiency in building and analyzing financial and business models using commercial acumen.

Advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of accounting and corporate valuation principles, while being data-driven
