Senior Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Senior Accountant
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the finance department in achieving accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate financial analyses and reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Oversee the reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Perform monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Support annual audit preparations.
• Accurately record and analyze revenues and expenses.
• Handle general ledger preparation and reconciliation.
• Coordinate accounting functions and programs.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payments, follow up on late payments, and send reminders.
• Assist in preparing taxation reports.
• Participate with the Chief Accountant in semi-annual and annual closures.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting systems, processes, and procedures.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned, while supporting junior staff.
• Communicate with managers/directors regarding work status and financial issues.
• Follow up on vendor accounts and ensure timely settlements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 4–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years as a
  Senior Accountant
  .
• Solid experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
• Hands-on experience with
  accounting software packages
  and
  ERP systems (Odoo preferred)
  .
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Strong understanding of
  GAAP
  and Egyptian
  Tax Law
  .
• Familiarity with financial statements and reporting.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Awareness of current business and financial trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
